Through this year I’ve had a long journey. There have been mountains to climb, and bridges to build. Mrs. Cousino has shown me new things. I felt like a pioneer going into a brand new world. I’m a revolutionary going against new challenges. I win in battles and learn about new things. I was a peacemaker in the bamboo forest. When we got in the bus to go to Austin, I felt like a pioneer going into a new land. (Techno style). I’m adding a brand new piece to my journey. When we go into the capitol, we see two amazing revolutionary paintings, Davy Crockett and Sam Houston. Then we see two amazing statues of two amazing people on a journey. Even though there’re dead the journey never ends. I studied one of them. His name is Sam Houston. Brave, Bold and a bridge builder because he made a bridge with the Indians. He was a revolutionary by fighting in the war against Santa Anna. As I continued reading about him, I wanted to be more like him. God has my tour guide as I go into new places. He steers me away from swamps and trenches along the way. He gives me good advice if there’s a fork in the road. I’ve had a great journey through fourth grade and I loved the Austin trip.

It sparkled in the sunlight. It’s glistening on the soft ground. It is as soft as a kitten’s fur. WHACK! I got hit in the face with a snowball. “Hudson!” I yelled at him. “Whoosh” I throw my perfect snowball. KABOOM! “Yes” I think “Right in the stomach.” We keep on playing for a while then we go inside. My Mom makes us hot cocoa. The next day I and Hudson build an amazing snowman! We get rocks for his mouth and eyes. We get carrots for its nose. Then we go back inside and my Dad makes a fire for us. I loved the snow

“Keep on going” “You can do it!” I’m thinking as I run the mile. My face is drenched with sweat. I can feel it pouring down my face. I’m sprinting as fast as a cheetah. Every part of my body is aching with pain. My ribs feel like they’re going to break. My legs feel like they’re going to fall off. I’m on my last lap and I’m only a few yards away from the finish. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0!!!!!!!!! “Finally!” I think, my head is pounding, my side is aching, my legs are in pain. But I make it back to the school. I drink gallons of water and just relax.

Monday was a quite a painful day for me. First I was playing tag with my friends at the park. “Whoosh!” I was running as fast as I could past the garden. “Crash!” I caught my foot on a little metal fence. I got cut all over my body. Now I’m going to the Stars game with Alex. We go into the suite and sit down in the chairs. After the 1st quarter I walked into the kitchen and “Slip” It seems like I’m falling in slow motion “Boom” My jaw hits the edge of the counter “Scratch: It scratches my neck. P.S. That’s how I got all the cuts.

I’m dribbling down the court I shoot “Swish” the ball goes through the hoop. The crowd is screaming my name. “Defense!” “Defense!” The other team calls a timeout. Coach says “Okay there are only four minutes on the clock, lets waste it.” “Bounce” “Bounce” We play amazing defense. They never get a chance to shoot. Luke steals the ball and I run down the court. He passes the ball to me and I shoot. It bounces off the backboard. “Swish” It goes in! It’s 44 to 32 we’re winning. There are 2 minutes left on the clock we’re winning. We just keep on wasting the time. 5,4,3,2,1 EEEERRRR. The crowd is cheering. We won the game! All I can here is our team cheering.

I have the best teachers in the world!!! I have an amazing playground. Also my lunchroom and classrooms are sooo cool. What we are learning is so interesting. I can’t stop reading! We are learning about the battle of the Alamo and long division. I love my school!

At my house for traditions we watch the movie the Polar Express. We also read that book every year. Another thing we do every year is, all the kids get a secret santa. The on Christmas we give each other the presents. The last tradition we do is read a Christmas book every week.

Books
Whoosh, I turn to the next amazing page. I’m reading the 7th Harry Potter book. I can feel myself waving the wand. I am fighting Voldemort, clashes of light are smacking into each other. Every moment must be used. WHAM! I hit Voldemort in the stomach with a stunning spell. AVADA KADAVRA! He shouted the killing curse missed me by an inch. BOOM! Two curses smacked into each other. My curse makes his wand fly upward, and his killing curse rebound on him. He falls back dead. I have won the battle. Everyone is cheering my name. Then it fades away and I’m back in my room. Books are the best thing in the world.
Turkey
I’m thankful for the big, fat, juicy turkey on Thanksgiving. It fills up my stomach, and it makes my tummy feel filled up. It lets me have the best Thanks giving ever. It helps me feel better. I love the turkey.
Angel Fire
We are bumping down the road. I feel like I’m going to explode with happiness. I see the Ski Mountains, and the snow that is covering the ground. I see our house towering over us. I walk inside and there is already a fire. I sit down on the couch and think about hot chocolate. Then me and Hudson run upstairs and get our warm and cozy clothes on. Then we run back downstairs and go into the backyard. I see the hills covered in snow. SPLAT! A piece of snow hits me in the face. I grab a chunk of snow and throw it at Hudson. SPLOOSH! Hudson gets hit in the back with the snow. Next thing I know we are having a snow fight. After a while we go inside and sit by the warm fire. My Mom makes us hot chocolate. As I sip the hot chocolate I think of all the great times. I LOVE ANGEL FIRE!

My Family
I jump under my dad and turn around. I am wrestling with my dad and my brother. I jump onto my dad’s back and he is like a horse trying to buck me off. Whoosh I fly threw the air, and land on top of a lot of pillows. My Dad has won, this time.
Sizzle, now I’m in the kitchen with my mom. I go over to the oven and pull out the perfect rolls. I put them on a plate and put it on the table. Then I get the pasta and put it in a bowl. I also put that on the table. Now dinner is ready.

It is as soft as a newborn puppy. It’s pillows are soft, fluffy, and light. It’s the coziest bed in the WORLD! It’s always the right temperature. As I fall asleep I can hear it saying “go to sleep.”
